Can Pain & Swelling With Lumps In Hand Suggest Sprain?

56 yr old female.Sustained rt.wrist/hand injury 5days ago when lifting myself out of a pool with my hands bent on the side. Felt pain, but got worse later in day. Very limited movement, pain and swelling. Lg lump on back of hand. Pain is less, but lump & swelling still present.Have kept it wrapped w/ace bandage.Possible broken bone or just a sprain?
