Can Restricted Diet And Exercise Reduce Cholesterol Without Medication?
Thanks! My Total Cholesterol and LDL have returned to normal level.I have been taking Lescol XL 80mg daily for the last two and a half months. However, my gamma GT level has gone very high , 167 ( NR 15-85). I have no liver symptoms whatsoever. My question is, can I stop Lescol XL and continue with restricted diet and exercise.I am 71 years old. Regards. Naseem
hi sir thanks for your question. i will suggest you to kindly reduce the dose of your medicine to 20mg instead of 80. and yes deit and lifestyle modification will certienly help and your liver enzyme will also come back to normal. but taking statins will help your heart.. so reduce the dose and redo your liver enzymes after a month. thank you .kindly rate my answer
