Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns
Although
schizophrenia has a significant genetic component, the genetics are complex and the interpretation of genetic data has proved difficult.More the close relationship , more increased lifetime risk of developing schizophrenia .In First degree relatives , risk is 5-20 times higher than general population , twin and family studies have revealed increased familial aggregation for childhood-onset schizophrenia and a higher concordance in earlier age of onset in monozygotic compared to dizygotic twins with schizophrenia.
But there is no diagnostic test to know the risk , so better is to focus on overall health of you ,( including no
smoking, no alcohol) for a better chance of normal and healthy baby.
Although I am not expert on the subject I have tried to answer your query with
available knowledge of this.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you and your coming baby a good health.
