Can Severe Pain In Knee And Cysts In Hip Bone Be Related?

Hi. I have an orthpedic question. I have been having pain above my right knee for 3 months. An x-ray of my hip shows 3 cysts on the bone. I am not having trouble with the hip. Could this be related or is it probably a tendon or ligament problem? Thank you.
