Can Shingles Spread To 11 Month Old And His Mother?
I am 65 years old. A female. I began having itchiness in my back Saturday night. Went to dr. today, diagnosed with shingles, started on valacyclovir HCL today. My question is: How long am I contagious? We were with my 11 month old grandson Sat and Sun. He hasn t had the chicken pox shot yet. Is there a possibility I could have given him the chicken pox. What about his mother, who never had them? Thank you!
