Can Steroids Being Taken For Anxiety Lead To Weight Gain?
on steriods for six years and gained ten stone I came off them and managed to loose 5 stone but now I'm back on them , I don't want to be fat but I don't want to be ill . I also suffer with panic attacks and I've been referred for mmr scan and I'm scared about having a panic attack , but it's like my anxiety is just pushed off by doctors and like they don't have time for it , of only they kne how I felt

Steroids do result in weight gain. But I have never heard of anyone taking steroids for anxiety. Steroids have no role in controlling anxiety. Kindly give some more information about your condition.
Do you have any other chronic illness for which you are taking steroids?
Has anyone prescribed anti-anxiety medication for your anxiety?
