I was wondering if I should continue taking my birth control while missing my period for 3 months (since I've started my birth control). I feel gassy all of the time and have vomited twice in the last two weeks in the middle of the night. Woken up by complete nausea. Should I talk to my doctor about changing birth control methods? Or does all of this seem to be normal? I have never had any issues before with other types of birth control pills.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
No this is not normal you ought to talk to your gynae. You have missed your periods for 3 months & now you are nauseating. You need to get a physical examination done & get evaluated. You need to get few investigations done. Take antacids & Omeprazole for relieve. Take small, light meals 3-4 times a day. Stay hydrated & take rest. Visit your treating doctor without much delay. Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
