Can The Little Finger Throbbing And Pain Be Due To A Fracture?

I am a 30 year old male. Earlier this week I picked up something and felt a pop in my left pinkie finger. The pain was moderate all week up until yesterday. My pinkie finger and down the side of my hand (to about my wrist) was throbbing and had sharp pains. There wasn't much swelling but the got worse and woke me out of my sleep. I have been taking ibuprofen and the pain is still there. Could my pinkie be fractured?
