Can The Sugar Level Be Monitored At Home?

My wife is pregnant with 36th week, having gestational blood sugar ( 90 FBS; UPTO 160 PP), continuing with insulin 16:16:16 + 12 human mistard. Doctor has suggested Betnosol with hospitalization to monitor sugar level. Can the sugar level be monitored at home itself, while getting betnosole?

Hello,

Blood sugar levels can be monitored at home with the help of a glucometer. It is called Self monitoring of blood sugar(SMBG).
But this is a special situation. In this case both the mother as well as the baby as to be monitored.
In my opinion it is better to monitor it in a hospital setup.
