Hello there! Incisional hernias are definitely correlated with the surgery for that ulcer perforation you had. so your GI tract is very sensitive and need a lot of care and a constant gastroenterologist touch for better management. It needs diet lifestyle modification a diet plan by dietitian and some use of Antacid approaches to be discussed with your gastroenterologist. also you need general surgeons opinion for incisional hernia repair and let him decide what is best for you.
