General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Nucynta CR contains tapendadol, an opioid analgesic.

Both, ralivia and ultram contain tramadol, another opioid analgesic of the same group of tapendadol.

Perhaps your doctor would have preferred to have a more potent effect of these opioid analgesic as he/she has prescribed them both. To my opinion, if I was your caring doctor, would re-vise your current treatment and set another potent analgesic instead of taking ultram with ralivia.

Hope it was of help!
