Can Valve Replacement Be Done With Minimally Invasive Surgery?
I am 59 years old. I have had 2 valve replacements - aortic and mytral - all within the last 48 months. I am concerned that I have another or one of those valves going bad. If I have to get another valve replacement can it be done with minimally invasive surgery?
In case of aortic valve it is more likely, mitral valve is more complicated. But you shouldn't worry so much, as replacement valves usually work for long time.
Hope I could help you
Wishing you good health
In case of further questions don't hesitate to ask
Currently aortic valves can be REreplaced by minimally invasive techniques. But only if you had a tissue valve. But if your valves are currently OK then they will work for years. So try to focus on rebuilding your strengths and focus less on re operation needs.
