Can Vertigo And Drowsiness Be Caused By Using The OTC Oxybutynin Patch?

Yesterday I started using the OTC Oxybutynin patch. I am a 54 year old women and have had leaks and urges for several years. I wear a bladder pad because I have very constant urges and frequent leeks. The patch has reduced those symptons already, but I am very drowsy and have vertigo. Can I cut the patch in half for a smaller dosage? Would it be helpful?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Oxybutynin can cause the side effects that you are experiencing of drowsiness and dizziness.

You can try to cut the patch to see if it is still helpful for you or use it less frequently.

It would be best to speak to your doctor first, however before initiating any changes.

I hope this helps
