Hello,
I can understand your concern and i will do my best to guide you in right direction.
I would like to tell you that sometimes because of overstretching or strenuous work outs, muscle injury can occur and it lead to pain. In your case, chances of pectoral muscle injury is there, so in that case i would recommend you to stop doing work outs for few weeks and take analgesic and muscle relaxant tablets for few days. Because these are prescription medicines, you can consult a local physician to confirm the diagnosis.
If the problem persists even after taking drugs and sufficient rest for few days, then you will have to consult a physician and go for detailed check up and work ups.
Hope this answers your question and let me know directly if you have any other relevant queries, i will be happy to guide you further.

General & Family Physician Dr. Jignesh Gorasia's  Response
Hello,
I had gone through your question carefully and can understand your concern very well.

I would like to tell you that work outs will never have any such effects like chest pain. It is of much concern and i would suggest you to stop doing workouts for now. I would also want to know about your height and weight, whether you are taking any medications, any family history of chronic illness.

I would also advise you to go for health check up including blood sugar, lipid profile, ECG, Chest X-ray and check your BP. You can consult a good physician after having all these reports or you can come back to me anytime with these reports, so i can guide you to the next level.

Hope this answers your question.
