Canker Sore Of My Bottom Lip And Swollen Lymph Node On Left Ide Of The Neck. Taking Coumadin. Concern?

Today I suddenly got a canker sore on the inside of my bottom lip and also a swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck. The only medication I am taking is Coumadin (5mg MWF, 7.5mg TThSaSu) for a DVT developed post hip surgery 2 months ago. I want to know if I should be concerned about the swollen lymph node. It is quite painful but no others are swollen.

Hi, it appears that your sore may be chanchroid, but with secondary bacterial infection, that is why there is lymphnode in the neck. you may have to use antibiotics, protiolytics, and antiinflamatories for cure of the sore. I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
D.V.T. and coummadin are entirely different thing and you can continue them . Thank you.
