Cervical Spinal Injury, Neck Pain, Constant Headache. Severe Eye Pain, Burning, Scratchiness. Related To Neck Injury?
Hello. I am a 42y/o F with previous cervical spinal injury x 6yrs post discectomy surgery with residual neuropathy severe neck pain and constant occipital headache. In the past two months I've been experiencing a periodic intense left eye pain, burning, and once a bilateral intense eye scratchiness, twitching, and occasional accompanying right sharp top of headache pain. I was wondering if this should be addressed as an urgent situation and if this can be an optic nerve relation and/or related to the neck injury. I do have terrible allergies but have never experienced any of these sudden symptoms. Thank you. - Michele

I really understand your concern but you need not worry about this it may not be related with the conditions you described here, before we think for some investigation why not to try something symptomatic relief, first thing you need to do is keep stress level very much low, increase your confidence, every thing will be alright, take some Acetaminophen+ Ibuprofen thrice a day you can even try alprazolam 0.5 mg at bed time, even if does not pass away then you need to be examined for further management, but I am sure it will come around have good day.
