I noticed that the time times it happen i had pork chops the night before and for breakfast both times, i had bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. Which could be the cuprit? They say I may have acid reflux - could that be all or could there be more going on? I am anxious to know as i leave for for two weeks in five days

hello

thanks for choosing healthcaremagic

Since you have pain in the epigastric region ( area above the stomach ) it seems more likely to be gastritis .
hence i suggest certain modifications in your lifestyle and food habits .

Avoid spicy food
consume food containing lots of fibre
avoid oily food
avoin eating pork and beef
eat small meals at regural interval
do not starve yourself
do not eat heavy dinner , have an early dinner , so that the food is completely digested before you sleep
exercise regularly
you can take an over the counter PPI such as Tab . Pantoprazole 40mg once daily before breakfast
If no relief with the above you will need further evaluation
