Child Complains Of Racing Heart, Mouth Dryness, Has Balanced Diet. Cause?
My daughter is 6 years old, no medications , no history of any major medical illnesses beside vitiligo which is not being treated with topical medications. She has been randomly (once every few weeks ) complaining of feeling like her heart is racing and her mouth feels dry. This has happened when she has been active as well as resting. Today it happened at school during classroom time while sitting at her desk. She had not been running around at all. She does not eat high levels of sugar, she only drinks water or milk and she has a very balanced diet .

what you describe may be attacks of supra Ventricular tachycardia.
See whether you can count her heart rate or pulse rate when it happens,and take her to the ER preferably during the attack. She will need an ECG and may be holter also. Gooid luck. This is a treatable condition.Do not worry!
