Child Feels Burning From Inside, No Fever. Any Thoughts?

My 13 year old son has been companing for weeks. He says he is burning from teh inside out. His skin is so hot to the touch, yet he has no fever . He has the air conditioning on high, wears justa T-shirt to bed and cries at night that he is burning up and so hot. He cannot bear it. I check his chest and legs and they do seem like they are on fire. Yet no temperature. Help please. I cannot find out what is going on. I went to a local doctor who had no answers. I am an Ivy league educated professional and am not prone to overreaction, but there is something definitely wrong and I am now getting most concerned. Any thoughts?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Some times hyperthyroidism may be associated with heat intolerance. It will be associated with other complaints like increased appetite, fast heart beat, loss of weight etc.

Some times a child with acidity may complain that he feels hot from inside.

Hope this helps.
