Child Fell On The Hip, On Crutches, X-ray Clear, Has Intense Pain, Foot Swelling, Diagnosed With Ligament Damage. Will She Recover?
Hi my 13 year old daughter fell on jer hip a few days ago and she could not move so we took her to a&e she had an x ray and there is no brake visible she is on cruches at the moment but she is still in loads of pain and carnt walk properly the doctor said maybe some quad of ligament damage but now her foot keeps swelling up but she said there is no pain in her foot is this normal and when would she be able to walk properly thanks
Hi. A MRI would be a better alternative investigation to exactly pin-point the cause of her pain and inability to walk properly. Plain x-ray is worth for a fracture only and many times miss hairline fracture or so.
