Child Had Colonoscopy. Having No Sensation In Left Leg. EMG Test Shows Root Damage. Suggestions?
Hi my 11 year old son had a colonoscopy and 1 down his throat 3 weeks ago now he was put to sleep , when he woke he had no feeling in his left leg n foot ! We have been back and had MR scan blood test and only2 days ago an EMG test which has shown root damage? But no further explanation! My son has regain a little feeling and movement back but is still on crutches or wheelchair! I am at my wits end now! As no 1 has any really answers why my boy walked into theatre and came out unable to walk! Please can u help?
This is a clear case of anesthesia complication or inappropriate management of intra- operative anesthesia, or wrong administration, or even medical mistake while administering the drug.
What happened to your son is unfair. You must get back to the doctors who did colonoscopy and ask for a detailed surgery notes along with the anesthesia route of administration, method and every detail of the procedure inside the operation theater.
