Child Has A Large Cyst On The Brdige Of The Nose. Previously It Was Removed With Injection. Suggestions?

My son has a large cyst on the brdige of his nose near his eye. he went to a dermatologist who said it needed to be removed. he had this once before and another dermatologist injected something into it (possibly steroids) and it disappeared. this time this doctor said it needs to be removed. any thoughts on what this is or may be or how to proceed?

Pediatrician, Surgery 's  Response
Hello
Thank you for placing your query on Health Care Magic
I would suggest you visit a pediatric surgeon and get it removed.
From you description it seems to be a dermoid cyst. It is a cyst present since birth and contains a cyst lined with skin like epithelium and contains discharge from the lining. The only treatment option is excision of the cyst.
It is a minor surgery and mostly done as daycare (discharge on the same day). So you don't need to worry at all. Such cysts can get infected and can cause problems so i suggest you get it removed
Hope that helps
God bless you
