Child Has Blood In Stool. Stool Sample Showed Gastroenteritis Colitis. Can You Help?
My son is 6 he is passin blood every time he has a bowel movement sometimes its a lot of blood sometimes its a little its not on every movement when there is blood its every few days he is not constipated its been goin on since November he has had blood tests and stool samples sent of they said it was gastroenteritis colitis but am not happy as its still goin on he was treated for thread worm 3weeks ago to what do I do can u help.. thanks

Blood in stools ongoing for a period of 4 months or so does definitely need further investigations.
You have not mentioned whether it is fresh blood or altered-dark brown coloured blood in stools. Does he have any other symptoms like vomiting, abdominal pain, poor weight gain or weight loss etc?
Depending on whether it is fresh blood or altered blood, he needs further investigations including local examination to rule out fissure/hemorrhoids. He may need Scan of his abdomen and may need dye test of bowel (either Barium meal or Enema based on stool colour.
I understand your concerns, but certain investigations are definitely needed to rule out other causes leading to blood in stools when it is ongoing for few months.
