Child Has Cellulite. Swelling At Groin Area, Skin Warm And Hurts, Difficulty Walking And High WBC. Given Antibiotic

My 2 year old daughter has, what looks like, cellulitis. Swelling (about an inch in diameter - elliptical ) at the upper right groin area (upper thigh), her skin is warm and hurts at the local area, also she has difficulty walking when laying down for a long time (I.E. nap) + Minor fevor hovering around 99.4 C (when I took her temperature 2 hours ago). Her Pediatrician has seen her 3 days ago (Thursday), we had her blood work done, x rays and urinalysis. Went back in for results (Friday) She shows elevated levels of white blood cells obviously, nothing on the x ray (3 days ago) and nothing obvious on the urinalysis. Doctor prescribed oral antibiotic and sent us home for 2 days while we administered the Antibiotic.

It is now Sunday night / monday morning and not much improvement. Skin still warm to the touch, swelling somewhat smaller but that's debatable between myself and my wife, she's still in pain when she tries to walk. Should I rush her to the ER (long wait times here ~ 6 hours sometimes), or should I wait few more hours and see the pediatrician in the morning?

hello dear,
thanks for your query at health care magic.
cellulitis will take sometime to reslove. you have given your child only two days of antibiotic course. it will take 3 to 5 days to recover.
if your child having any symptoms of very high grade fever, altered sensorium then you can take to ER.
thank you.

wait for few more hours and see your pediatrician.if there in no effect in the size and symptoms in the swelling thn you might be needing some change in medicines but if even there slight decrease in size thn continue what same medicine for 10 days atleast.
