Child Has Dry Cough. X-ray Confirms Asthma. Given Montair Lc And Nebulization. Suggestions?

Hello doctor,
My child is 28 months old and he is suffering from dry cough since 2 months.
His father and grandmother is also having asthama type infections. So we did X-ray for my child and got confirmation from doctor as he is also having asthama symptons and gave montair lc for one time a day and also nabulizations for every hour. We started giving the montair and immediately cough has been reduced.
So shall we discontinue the medicine and the nabulizations. Please suggest.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
Since child is having asthama I suggest you to be in regular follow up with your pediatrician as medication depends upon severity of symptoms.
Regarding nebulisation if you are giving salbutamol it is to be used only as rescue therapy and need to be stopped if condition improves.
Regarding montair lc I suggest you to continue it for sometime after consulting your doctor.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
