Child Has Head And Stomach Pain. No Fever. Anything To Worry?
My 16 yr old daughter is burning up to the touch on her head and stomach , but the temp taken in her ear in the normal range. She says her head Hurts so bad it s hard to see and the whites of her eyes are a little grey. I have given her 2 ibuprofen and have her sipping on Gatorade. What else should I do? I m really worried something else could be going on.
I can understand your concern. The correct place to measure the temperature is either mouth or side (axilla). Ear thermometers are not reliable.
You have done the right thing by giving ibuprofen which can be given every 6 hours in case the headache persists. It may take some hours before the unfolding of the cause of the problem occurs. You have not mentioned the exact place where the stomach hurts and the type of pain for me to give any guidance.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
