Child Has Head Injury. Lump And Bruise Formation. Need For Doctor?

hi my 13 month old daughter feel and hit her head on a chair leg a lump and bruise came up imediately she only cried for a few minutes, the lump has now gone soft after an hour does she need to go see a doctor? she has now been asleep for about half an hour we have woken her up but she only opened her eyes for a second and went straight back to sleep she has not been sick

Hi
It seems that your child is OK as there is no symptom like - vomiting, unconsciousness, convulsion.

Please monitor your child for such symptoms (as I mentioned), if appears or if the lump increases in size - visit emergency medical care immediately.

She may need analgesic syrup (Ibuprofen / paracetamol) if the area is painful.
