Child Has Headache, Stomach Ache, Vomiting, Fever. Any Suggestions?

Hello, my son is 7 years old and started having stomach virus symptoms on Sunday. He started with a bad headache and stomach ache. Then vomiting at night and Monday morning. Took him to dr who said it s a stomach bug. My son was hurting so badly that he moaned all night and was crying out because his head and stomach hurt so badly. Totally uncharacteristic of him. Then, threw up more last night. He has felt better today but still has a headache and now has 100.1 fever . Any suggestions???

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query. Based on the limited information you have provided, your child seems to have been suffering from an attack of viral gastritis. Rest, paracetamol, adequate hydration, antacids should take care of him.If he develops a coated tongue, severe pain in the right lower part of the tummy which is painful to touch it might be a case of appendicitis. If the fever is associated with burning sensation during urination it might be a case of urinary infection. If your child persists to have abdominal pain with fever consult a pediatrician.Hope this helps you.Wishing him a speedy recovery.
