Child Has Loose Motion, Passing Gas. Given Vaccines. Reason?
Hi Doctor, I am Sowjanya. My baby ( 3 months) is suffering with loos motions. When ever she is drinking milk, she is passing motion with gas. On saturday DtaP2, OPV2+IPV2, Hib 2, Rotavirus 2 ans PCV2 has been given to baby. Did these vaccunes cause any side effects? Please let me know the reasons why it will happen and kindly suggest the tablet.. Thanks in advance..

She is having temorary lactose intolerance.
This is not related to vaccination.
Give her a probiotic sachet twice daily for 5 days.
If she is on fomula feeds then change the milk to a lactose free formula.
Give her a carminative drop as well.
Consult your doctor if the problem persists.

It is normal for babies to pass stool after each feed. So that is not abnormal.
Please let me know this. Is your baby breast fed or not. It is normal for breast fed babies to some times pass 6 to 8 stools per day. So if that is the case you need not worry for that.
If your baby is passing large watery stool and not breast fed this is not the case.
Monitor for signs of dehydration.
They include
1. Decreased skin turgor
2. Increasing thirst.
3. Sunken eyes.
4. Irritability.
5. Drowsiness.
6. Decreasing passage of urine.
Intravenous fluids may have to be started if dehydration is severe.
