Child Has Lumps On Neck, Painful, Low Appetite, No Energy. Taken Amoxicillin. Want Second Opinion

my daughter (5years old) has 2 lumps on the back of her neck about the size of a marble and they are very painful. She has no energy and no appetite which is really strange for her! I took her to the doctor and he thinks it is just swollen lymph nodes. At the time that I took her to that doctor she only had one lump, then the next day she woke up with the other lump. They gave her amoxocilin for 10 days. we are on day 7 and they have not changed in size at all and they are still very painful. Should i take her back and see if it is something different or get a second opinion? Please help! Im just really worried about her!

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

If there is no improvement then your child needs to be examined further. Investigations like total blood counts may be required. If it is identified to be infection only then change of antibiotic may help.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
