Child Has Vomiting, Rolling Eyes After Eating. Given Augmentin. Help
Today my 19 month old woke up acting normal. He ate breakfast and I took him to the baby sitters. When we got there , he vomited which I thought nothing of because he has gotten car sick before. He ate again and immediately after eating, the sitter picked him up and he went limp. His eyes rolled back into his head, and he would not hold his head up. He vomitted two more times and remained listhless. After taking him to urgent care, the urine culture and strep test was negative. They put him on Augmentin and stated that they believe he has strep but it is in the early stages and there for did not show up on the strep test. I am gravely concerned, as he just ate again and is having the same reaction. Please help
I am afraid no infection will present in the way you have described. In case he continues to vomit then he needs to be investigated further. Rolling of eyes and getting limp means that your son developed a convulsion which needs to be investigated. You may continue with the medication but it is better to discuss the problem with his paediatrician who shall guide you further.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
