Child Have Cough, Runny Nose And Vomiting. Have Pneumonia And Taking Prescribed Medication. What To Do?
my daughter is 8 months old. She had some problem of cough and running nose. Due to this she sometimes vomit. I Consulted a doctor. He identified that my baby caught by pneumonia developed to 3rd stage. He advised some medicine. After 2 days my baby is cotinuously suffering with high fever and getting acute loose motion. However, now she has almost releived from cough. What to do now.
Does she have any other problem like rapid breathing, chest indrawing, bluish coloration of fingers etc?
These indicate worsening of pneumonia.
Those loose motions could be side effects of the antibiotic that was given.
Please consult your doctor at the earliest.
Continue to ask further queries.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
The most important aspect of management of diarrhoea is hydration
Oral Rehydration Solutions are easily available Over The Counter
3rd stage pneumonia generally needs admission...
Ask your doctor - the diarrhoea may be a part of the infection / or side effect of the drug (usually antibiotic) - may have to be changed...
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck

Child Have Cough, Runny Nose And Vomiting. Have Pneumonia And Taking Prescribed Medication. What To Do?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Continue the medication as advised by your Pediatrician. For fever you can give paracetamol in prescribed dose. The mainstay of treatment in loose motions is to maintain hydration of the child. Give sips of oral rehydration solutions like Pedialyte to prevent dehydration. Consult again your pediatrician for reassessment of the child and specific medication for diarrhea. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
