Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You didn't provide your son's weight in your query.

Usually, the dose of Meftal-P is 5 to 8 mg/kg per dose every 8 hours. Since the fever is not controlled even for 6 hours, there might be some serious underlying illness, so don’t delay consulting your pediatrician as he may suggest an antibiotic or orders an investigation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pavan Kumar
