Child Recovering From Flu. Suffering From Leg Pain. Is This Normal?
My son is 3.5 yrs old,he had flu like symptoms and the peds put him on an anti-biotic,he got a fever and we battled it for a few days...it finally broke but he woke up this morning complaining of leg pain and walked with a wobble...after a half hour or so,he could walk better but still had pain.He just got up from a nap and the same thing happened...any thoughts?....
Hi
It is looking like myalgia or myositis as viral fevers are associated with muscle pains. Give proper rest, adequate oral fluids and proper nutritious diet and you can give multivitamin supplementation and if the pain is sever you can give ibuprofen in prescribed dosage . if problem persist consult your Pediatrician.
