Child Stopped Breathing, Started Convulsions. EEG, Echocardigram And Holster Monitor Normal. Result Of Head Injury. Advise?

I have a six year old daughter. I am trying to determine if her condition is truly a seizure disorder. Would like another opinion. When she was 2 yrs. she was walking across the floor, collapsed, went stiff, quit breathing, and then started convulsing. EEG normal. Echocardiogram and holter monitor normal. Last year she was on the monkey bars, fell went stiff, then started convulsing. Again EEG negative. Diagnosed with concussion and told seizure was result of head injury. EKG also normal. CT scan negative. In September she was playing in the yard, stopped running, looked funny per her sister, then fell to the ground went unconscious and urinated on herself. Very confused and drowsy after the event. She was taken to Er. Referred to neurologist. First one said this is normal for kids her age to faint, did not feel this episode was a seizure. I did not feel it was a fainting episode. Took her to Pediatrician who agreed we needed a second opinion and that she thought it was another seizure. Second neurologist did not hestitate to call this a seizure disorder, ordered an EEG and MRI of brain for next month, then wants to start her on medication. I am confused and would like another opinion before putting my child on dangerous medications. After educating myself about epilepsy I think she may have had other seizures in the past that I did not recognize as seizures. A couple of times she has gotten out of bed and came downstairs walking around attempting to take clothing off and would not respond when spoken too. She appeared awake, I assummed it was just her sleep walking, however she has never done this before. The next day she would be irritable and tired. A couple of other times she would suddenly panic and repeat "i'm scared" and rock back and forth or flail her arms. I was unable to get her to say anything else or calm down for a few minutes, then she would be okay. What are your thoughts?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.

I feel she had seizure from the description provided. The behavioural problem she had does not fit into seizures. You need to consult a psychiatrist for those panic attacks. If a child had recurrent episodes of seizures then we should start on antiepileptics to prevent further episodes of seizures.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
