Clots Of Blood While Urinating. Suffering From PCOS. Usually Regular Periods, Delay In This Month. Any Ideas?

I am a 36 year old female who was earlier diagnosed with PCO. I had reduced and even was getting my periods regularly till last month. But this month I didnt get (not pregnant). But, I noticed for past 2 weeks that small brown to light red clots of blood being noticed when I wash after urinating. I have no pains or burning symptoms at all. What could this be?

Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Women with PCOS often have difficulty in ovulation and in menstruation.
The ovary gets studded with multiple small follicles, and none of them form a mature egg every month.
Due to hormonal imbalance, there are scanty and delayed periods.
hence what you describe is typical with patients of PCOS.
If you plan a family, consult a Fertility specialist.
Metformin helps in some of the symptoms, as does weight loss and lifestyle management.
take care.
