Cold Blood In Stools After Experiencing Heartburn Be A Symptom Of Something Critical?

My husband had heartburn last night, went to bed woke up 3hrs. Later with bad stomach cramps, throwing up. Then he got diarrhea and bight red blood in stool. Today his lower (above belly button) stomach is hurting and he's weak with a headache. Could this be serious?

Hi.
This can be a serious problem as the proper treatment not done in time can make the patient go into complications.
Heartburn can not cause red blood in stool.
A combination of diarrhea, bright blood, pain, weakness, headache and vomiting all suggest to a possible cause of acute intestinal infection. This needs urgent redressal by a Doctor and immediate treatment initiation as per clinical findings.
