I have got cold for three days and its just mild and I could manage. But today, I got water like liquid dripping out of my nose . Its not mucuous. Its like tear drops. I had the same thing happening to me 3-4 months back wager started pouring out of my nose and it wont stop for some time. Is it related to CSF . And I had a sinusuites surgery when I was in my 10th Stand but I wasn t happening to me back then. Now I have completed my mba. Please suggest.
First of all, do not get concerned with CSF leaking through nose. It can only be possible if there is any damage to the bony plate separating the nasal cavity from the cranium. Visit to an ENT specialist & investigations like X ray of skull, nasal endoscopy can be carried out to detect it.
The symptoms as mentioned in your post may also be due to Allergic rhinitis.
Management includes: 1. Antihistamine preparations like Allegra can be taken for symptomatic relief. 2. Montelukast, used as a maintenance therapy to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies. 3. Maintain adequate hydration & take a healthy balance diet. 4. Also make sure that you are well protected from cold, dust & other allergens.
Wishing you a good health. Thanks & take care.
