Concerned About Fizzing Sound From Neck To Head Along With Headaches And Migraines

I have a very strange question. I have stenosis in my neck at C 6 - C 8. In addition to pain shooting sown my arm into my thumb, I am now experiencing a strange fizzing sound that seems to start where my neck hurts, and continues into my head. I have migraines and the worse my neck gets, the worse the headaches become but the fizzing is new, happens ramdomly and only for a few seconds, then it's gone. Is this something I should be concerned about ?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

The transient fizzing sound may be due to either stretching of the muscle fibers or vertebral tendons, blood flow in the main arteries in the neck or, the spinal fluid flow in the spinal canal. It should be of no concern.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Take care
