Constant Headache. History Of Fall And Hitting Forehead With Chair. X-ray Report, Eyes Normal. Advice

Hi my names is Betty and I am 64. I fell two and half months ago and hit my forehead on a chair on the way down. I went to my doctor and she told me to come back if I was weird. I started getting headaches and she xrayed and no abnormality found. I had my eyes tested. I am getting headaches all day and I am not usually a headache person. What should I do?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
X ray of head only tells us any fractures and major skull injuries. If it was normal and you did not have any alarming symptoms after the fall, your doctor was right is asking you to return should there be any weird symptoms.
You may get yourself examined for your headaches and a CT scan might be necessary to rule out any blood collection (subdural) in the head.
I suggest you report to your doctor immediately.

Hope this helps.
