Constant Pulls And Cramps In Leg, Pain In Buttock. History Of Being Cured From Prolapsed Disc. Advice For Curing The Pain

Hi,

I had a prolapsed disc about 4 years back. After being cured fully, one day while doing routine exercises, I suddenly seemed to get a sprain on my left side. Since then my condition has aggravated to a level that I am not able to walk or stand for more than a few minutes without pulls and cramps in my left leg. There is a lot of pain in left buttock when I sit or stand/walk. While lying down there is no pain whatsoever. I have been advised to exercise by trying to raise my left leg progressively to 90 degrees while lying down. Right now I am not able straighten my left leg in a raised position. My doctor advises that the day I am able to raise my leg sufficiently straight, I would be able to walk normally. Physical tests suggest that there is no neurological issue.
