Corner Of Lip Is Sore. Treated With Campho-Phenique And Became Worse. Using Cortisone. Suggest?
The corner of my top lip has been sore for over a week now. It's not a cold sore--it's just raw. I have treated it with Campho-Phenique and it made it worse, I used petroleum jelly and now lately I've been using Cortisone 10. What is causing that? I am 71 years old, female, and I've never had a cold sore or fever blister in my life.
Hi lip corner becoming sore is called aphthous stomatitis.it is mainly due to stress or due to b complex deficiency.it presents as a sore on the lips with irritant dermatitis.it can be cured by saline compressors followed by applucation of fucibet ointment and vitamin b complex supplementation
