Cough, Recurring Fever, Running Nose, Diagnosed Throat Infection, Prescribed Crocin, Tixilix, Althorxin, No Improvement. Cure?

My son who is 1.5 years old is suffering from cough, fever and running nose since last 4 days, we have consulted couple of doctors and they have diagnosed throat infection and prescribed him crocin (for fever), tixilix (for cough) and althroxin (anti-biotic) yesterday. still I don't feel there is any improvement in the condition as he is experiencing high fever (102 +) and when given crocin it subsides and then comes again after 4-5 hours

hello dear
thanks for your query at HCM
high grade fever, cough, subsiding on medication and recurring fever after some time indicate that there is some local bacterial infection might be in throat or upper respiratory tract.
it will take some time for body and antibiotic to give response to infection.
it will take atleast two or three days for infection to come down.
1 give plenty of fluid to child.
2 do tapid sponging when ever temperature above 100
3 continue same medication
even after this child is not improving throat swab for culture and senstivity might be needed.
regards
