Could Abdominal Pain, Constipation, Belching And Burning Be Related To Bacterial Infection?
Hi i had an stomach virus of something I ate back in March every since then i have not been feeling right. I have nausea, upper abdominal pain, constipation, belching and burning and gnawing upper abdominal stomach. I sometimes can eat and then the next I lose my appetite which is making me lose weight. Could i still have a bacterial infection in me
It sounds like you may have chronic gastritis or a stomach ulcer from your recent illness. You can try probiotics and nexium until you can see your doctor. You should be worked up for H. Pylori infection. The treatment is antibiotics for 7-14 days. Unfortunately, this is a type of bacterial infection that usually does not go away until you treat it.
