Could Black Blood And Severe Stomach Pain Be Indicative Of Intermittent Porphyria?

Last time I went to the doctor they took blood and it was very black color. I have been tired alot and have alot of severe stomach pain and had been treated from an infection. I am still noticing very black blood. My blood never used to be this color. I was doing some reading about black blood online. Do my side effects to you sound the same as acute intermitten porpheria? I never before had black blood.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
Black color of urine is due to excretion of porphyrin.
And this is not true for blood.
So no need to worry much for acute porphyria. I don't think you are having this.
Black color of blood can be due to
1. High hemoglobin level
2. High carbon dioxide level.
3. High carbon monoxide level.etc.
So in your case, I think it is due to high hemoglobin or carbon dioxide.
So better to get it checked.
But no need to worry much for acute porphyria.
