Could Black Spot Behind Right Eye Be Toxoplasmosis?

My ophtmologist found a black spot behind my right eye. My pressure is fine and never found it in the last 10 years I've been seeing him. He said it may be toxoplasmosis but wants a full brain MRI with contrast to see how far back it is. I've have vertigo for the past few weeks, and my primary doctor says my ears are fine. What are other possibilities besides toxoplasmosis? I've never been in contact with cat litter and hardly ever eat meat so the possibility of it being from raw meat is minimal, the rapid call for an MRI is concerning, any insight?

Hello
Toxoplasmosis can cause retinal scar in inactive form and in active form it can cause chorioretinitis involving the posterior segment of the eye.
Toxoplasmosis can affect the visual tract and brain and hence your doctor is correct in ordering for a MRI scan.
Hence I advice you to undergo investigation and review back with the report.

Thank you
