Could Blisters Near Scrotum On Penis Be Any STD, With History Of Pcr Hsv Test Showing Negative?

I recently took a pcr hsv blood test. it came back not detected for hsv1 and hsv2 but I still have blisters that appear near base of scrotum on the penis. I have also had two viral cultures taken and both were negative. how accurate would the pcr test be after 3 months of first outbreak?

Hi

See pcr is a test which is very accurate but if done initially after the development of the skin lesions since it tends to find out the viral particles in our blood.
Now in your case, three months have good already.
It would be better for you to take an antibody test which is the herpes 1 and 2 antibody test.
These tests tend to be more reliable in later cases.
With the result of these, we can have a more fair idea as to what is happening.
