Could High Bp Cause Chest Pains?
Hi,
I'm having chest pain from the front and from the back at the same time. Been through this before, and was 911'ed to Emergence. They couldn't find a source of the pain. said it had nothing to do with my heart. Today it hit again, and took my blood pressure and it was 188 over 109.Pulse rate was 68
Could this have a bearing on the pain? I'm a 63yr old femail

Pain may be due to many reasons like cardiac causes,acidity,musculoskeletal causes etc.
You need proper examination.High B.P may causes chest pain.
You need investigations like routine hemogram,RBS,LFT,RFT,Lipid profile,USG of abdomen,ECG is all leads,ECHO.Further investigations like angiography can be done if needed.
It is important to rule out cardiac causes due to you age and history of hypertension.
