Could I Be Pregnant After Sex Using The Withdrawal Method?

My period is 2 days late but test was negative but took before my period was supposed to start. I am 46 but have never had any menopause symptoms. And I have been told I would know what they were. I had sex around the right time but he used the withdrawal method. Could I still be pregnant?

Dear member.

Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
Withdrawal method is not always successful as the sperms can swim from outside the vagina. Also the timing of sex according to date is not always correct as you cannot always predict ovulation.
I recommend that you repeat the pregnancy test.
If negative then you can wait for spontaneous period.
Thanks
