Could Intake Of Minocycline For Acne Cause Blood In Urine?
i have blood in my urine and my doctor did a few tests on me and said that it was not bladder cancer or kidney stones. There was no infection or UTI. I have taken minocycline for about 3 years for my acne and i stopped about 5 months ago because my doctors told me to. Could minoclycine be the cause of blood in my urine?

Minocycline , took almost for three years and stopped just 5 months.
Now after 5 months blood in urine .
Self understood that minocycline is not a cause of blood in urine .
However precaution should be taken for RENAL function during treatment with minocycline .
Hematuria or blood in urine may be due to .
1 Renal stone most common cause , sometimes a transparent stone don't visualize in ultrasound , so get in M R I and contrast M R I .
2 Chronic renal failure is another most common cause of hematuria . Diagnosis can be confirmed by serum creatinine and blood urea examination.
3 Cancer , diagnosis can be confirmed by I V F technique for kidney with dye .
In my opinion consult one more urologist and get his opinion as mentioned above.
